Town bus service every 30 minutes?

The Spalding Town bus service could be set to run every half hour.

Lincolnshire County Council will look to use some of the £11.87m it has been given to fund the increased regulatory of buses on the route, a paper to its Highways and Transport Committee states.
It’s looking to spend between £1.1m to £1.4m over two years to make both the Spalding and Louth services every 30 minutes rather than its current 45 minute regularity as part of a new Bus Service Improvement Programme.
That cost also includes funding a Sleaford to Lincoln service on a Saturday.
The report also states that Lincolnshire is looking to implement its own ‘fare cap’ due to the number of shorter journeys that would meet the national £2, soon to be £3 cap.
“A town centric fare scheme would look to put in place a low-cost option that makes travelling on bus services in or across our towns, affordable whether you are a frequent / daily user or an ad-hoc casual traveller.”
