Debutant’s dramatic late strike sees Tigers to victory

Debutant Oskar Gadzia netted an injury time winner for Holbeach United at home to Leiston Under 23s on Saturday.

Twice the Tigers led at Carter’s Park in the Thurlow Nunn Division One North clash.
They took a first minute lead when Ryan Cook’s corner was poked home by Callum Wright.
Visitors Leiston levelled on the half-hour mark through Oscar Manly.
The Tigers were back in front before the break through, Josh Ling smashing home from a corner in the 44th minute.
Leiston then equalised for a second time in the 67th minute as Ewan Parlett netted.
After that though there was a melee with Leiston’s Mackenzie Travis shoving Holbeach stopper Josh Simpson as they were trying to get the ball earning Travis a second yellow card and being sent off.
Holbeach threw men forward looking for a winner and they were rewarded thanks to the former Peterborough United youth player.
Holbeach are now sixth, just one position and two points off Diss Town who make up the final play off place.
Tigers: Simpson, Greenacre, Cook, Oldham, Roberts, Ling, Kacirek, Carter, Ibeneme, Hamilton, Wright. Subs: Lee, Williams, Gadzia, Millinson.
Attendance: 93.
