Super seven for Caress at Snowden Field

A straight 21-minute finishing time earned Adam Caress first place at the weekly Snowden Field Parkrun in Crowland on Saturday.

It was the seventh time the Halmer Harrier has been first across the line since his first appearance on the 5K course in June 2019. Of his 222 Parkruns, Caress has run the Crowland course 111 times.
Fellow Harrier Simon Eldridge was also in the top ten, finishing in 23:53, while Janet Strickland was 33rd, 31:14.
The Spalding-based club’s runners launched a four-pronged attack on the Ferry Meadows Parkrun at Peterborough. Jayne Pell was first of the contingent, coming home 422nd of the 532 runners in 35:36. She was followed by Karen Wallis, 441st 36:32, Kathryn Chapman, 460th 38:48, and Katherine Baxter, 521st 51:54.
Daz Hind went solo at Bolberry Down, finishing the Devon course 44th of 143 runners in 26:12.
Snowden Field celebrates its 200th event on November and a run spokesman said: “We would love for as many people as possible to join us whether that is walking, running or volunteering.”
The Crowland event started in April 2019 with 95 entrants and 19 volunteers, hitting an event high of 197 runners and 43 volunteers in April this year.
