A cordon has been put up and the bomb disposal squad called after the discovery of a ‘bullet’ in Holbeach St Marks this afternoon (Tuesday, October 15).

Lincolnshire Police say a 100m cordon has been put up around Lapwater Lane in the village after an ‘old artillery bullet’ was found.

The Voice understands people living nearby have been told to stay in their houses.

A force spokesman continued: ” The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team are on route.
