Spalding Town finished their Lincolnshire Board Premier League on a high with a derby victory over Long Sutton to move out of the bottom two.
The hosts posted 188 and then bowled out the division’s wooden-spoonists for 154 to claim a 34-run success and secure their status in the league for another season.
However, it was not straight-forward, with a last-wicket stand of 63 between Ethan Lawrence (32) and Brandon Andrews (38no) proving decisive.
Spalding had slipped from 74/3 to 95/8 with five of Sutton’s seven bowlers enjoying success, led by Jake Burton (3-13).
Sutton’s reply was floundering on 16/4 and 58/6 before Davico Kruger (59) and captain Burton (27) put on 91 for the seventh wicket.
However, they were both out on 149 as the last four wickets fell for just five runs.
Harsh Bhandari (3-22), Nilantha Atapattu (3-28) and Brandon Andrews (2-6) were the pick of the home attack.
A 172-run second-wicket partnership between Josh Newton (104) and Jamie Juckes (81) set up Moulton Harrox for a last-day 46-run win at Skegness in the South Lincs Border League Championship.
After rattling up 234/5, Moulton bowled out the hosts for 188 to celebrate their second place finish.
The hosts scored well in the middle order but were kept in check by Matt Rose (3-24), Blake Wolstenholme (2-30) and Flynn McMillan (2-41). Rose’s three-wicket haul was enough for him to overtake the home side’s Heinrich Dippenaar in the race for the division’s most wickets award, 41 to 40.
However, it was Boston’s Damian Lawson who took the title, thanks to a similar last day wicket treble to finish on 42.
