Pinchbeck pre-school’s revamped play area vandalised

A pre-school’s efforts to make an exciting outdoor play area for its children have been ruined by vandals.

Stepping Stones pre-school, based at Pinchbeck Church Hall, had received a £500 donation from county councillor Elizabeth Sneath’s Big Society Fund to repaint the play area and buy new equipment – only for some of the items to be stolen and the work vandalised within a couple of days of being completed.

Staff have now repaired the damage and hope to replace the stolen items when funds allow.

Coun Sneath said: “Playing outside is so healthy and important. I was pleased to help the Steppings Stones team who all work so hard to provide a happy, caring environment for young Pinchbeck children.

“This vandalism was really sad, the staff and the children are at a loss to understand why anyone would want to spoil their fun and damage their play area.”
