Members of the Spalding Round Table have donated £5,000 to an end of life care suite at the Johnson Hospital.
The money came from profits of last year’s Spalding Festival and help with the refurbishment of the relatives’ lounge and overnight accommodation.
The work is being organised by the Spalding Hospice Foundation.
Sue Wray, from the foundation, said: “Prior to the presentation we were able to show the Round Table how their contribution would benefit the unit, giving them a tour of the rooms that will be refurbished.
“We would like to thank the Round Table for their very generous donation and wish them every success with this year’s Spalding Festival.”
Festival chair and vice chair of Spalding Round Table Matt Clark said: “It was a privilege to receive a tour of the Tulip Suite facility and learn more of the vision that the Hospice Foundation has for the space.
“Understanding the challenges faced only deepened our commitment to supporting such a worthy cause.
“We couldn’t be prouder to contribute £5,000.”

“Each contribution, including this one, has been made possible through the tremendous success of our primary fundraising event, the Spalding Festival, which we are welcoming back on May 24 to 26.”
