Holbeach United boss Darren Jarvis is hoping to have a much stronger squad at his disposal for the visit of Newport Pagnell on Saturday (3pm).
The game will serve as his home debut in the dugout for Jarvis and his number two Tom Roberts, who oversaw Tuesday night’s 3-0 loss at Thurnby Nirvana.
The likes of Andrew Tidswell, Stacey Cartwright, Danny Steadman and Craig Parker could all return – and there could be a few new signings in the fold too.
Seven-day notices of approach have gone in for defender Luke Wilson (Wisbech Town), midfielder Jack Marsden (PNS) and frontman Charley Sanders (Huntingdon Town), while Jarvis is also enquiring about the availability of a number of his other former players at Northern Star.
The future of left-sider Jake Gibson is in doubt, however, with Jarvis admitting that he’s yet to commit himself to the Tigers for the remainder of the campaign.
Either way, the new Holbeach supremo is aiming to notch up his first win at the weekend.
“I’m keen to finish the season in a positive manner,” added Jarvis. “We’ll have a few back on Saturday and perhaps a new face or two.
“It’s never easy against Pagnell, you know what you’re going to get. They have a very close squad full of lads that are clearly good mates.
“Throw in a top player like Dom Lawless and they are a match for anyone.
“But if we can take some of the positives from Tuesday, I’m convinced that we can get that win.”
