Two charged after cannabis farm found in Sutton Bridge house

Two people have been charged after more than 400 cannabis plants were found in a property in Sutton Bridge.

Lincolnshire Police’s Neighbourhood Policing Team found 423 plants at the address on Allenbys Chase following a search on Wednesday.

Following the find Halil Gopani, 31, of no fixed address has been charged with production of a class B drug and been remanded by police.

Denis Xibraku, 24, of Stubbs Drive in London was also charged with production of a class B drug, and he has also been remanded by police

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “Officers gathered intelligence which indicated criminal activity was taking place at a premises in the village on Allenbys Chase.

“A warrant was secured, and officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team searched the property on the morning of Wednesday, 21 February.

“Some 423 cannabis plants were found, and a scene guard erected on site so further investigations could take place.

“Two people were arrested at the location, with a third person subsequently arrested with assistance from a neighbouring force.

“A scene guard remains in place at the site as experts work to dismantle the cannabis plants and carry out further enquiries.

“The third person arrested has been released with no further action.”
