Pantomime was a beauty

Tickets sales for Spalding’s pantomime were up on last year with sales for this financial year set to be well up on last year.

Coun Tracey Carter told South Holland District Council that 10,646 tickets had been sold this year for Polka Dot pantomime’s production of Beauty and the Beast, a rise from 10,339 sold last year.
“It’s brought in an increase of gross revenue of three per cent in comparison to the previous year,” she said. “We’ve had a lot of amazing feedback from the pantomime and as a result we’re putting on an extra show next year.”
Coun Carter also said that the theatre was forcasting to have sold over 30,000 tickets for all shows by the end of the financial year in April, up from the 24,621 in 2022/23.
“We’ve got lots of growth at the South Holland Centre,” she said. “It’s a really good increase.”
