Spalding’s Argos to leave current store and move into Sainsbury’s

Spalding’s Argos is to move out of its Holland Market branch and into the nearby Sainsbury’s store.

The shops now have the same owner and its part of a nationwide initiative to bring them under the same roof.
Sainsbury’s has applied for planning permission to change the signage on the front of its own store on Holland Park to include the Argos sign.
A spokesman for Sainsbury’s said: “To make shopping more convenient for customers and to enable us to invest where it matters most, we are relocating many of our standalone Argos stores to Sainsbury’s – this includes our Spalding Argos store.
“Later this year, a brand-new Argos will open inside Sainsbury’s Spalding, enabling customers to purchase thousands of technology, home and toy products from Argos while picking up their groceries.
“We understand this will be an unsettling time for those affected and we are supporting them in any we can, including offering colleagues the opportunity to redeploy to other roles within Sainsbury’s and Argos.”
