Holbeach Budgens supermarket to close for transformation into Lincolnshire Co-op store

Budgens in Holbeach will close next Wednesday (Feb 11) and be transformed into a Lincolnshire Co-op store.

The society says it has bought the Fleet Street shop to complement its pharmacy and Post Office services in the town. It also runs a funeral home in Holbeach.

Matthew Wilkinson, Lincolnshire Co-op’s store development manager, said: “We’re delighted to have a Lincolnshire Co-op food store in Holbeach to complement our other services in the town.
“We’ll hopefully be looking at further investment in the new store over the coming months as we develop our plans for the site.

“All Budgens’ staff have been offered the opportunity to transfer their employment to Lincolnshire Co-op and we look forward to welcoming them to the team.”

The supermarket is expected to re-open on Wednesday, February 18.
