Race aces Ryan, Kieran and Ashley Rudd enjoyed a rare outing at Chatteris over the weekend – and all three had something to shout about.
The Holbeach-based Team TRM trio, who are regulars at Great Hockham this season, made use of a spare weekend to compete at the Peterborough Motocross Club event.
Starting in the Junior 65 category, nine-year-old Kieran was in fine form.
Having moved up from the Autos section this season, the youngest of the Rudd clan secured finishes of fifth and fourth (twice) to secure an excellent fourth overall.
His highlight came in the second race when he got the hole shot after flying out of the traps.
Meanwhile, teenage duo Ryan and Ashley were both competing in the Schoolboy section on their 250 bikes.
Ashley, who is 15 years old, was on eye-catching form as he roared to a hat-trick of second places.
With a strong racer taking wins in all three races, the TRM ace was happy enough with second spot overall.
He also claimed the hole shot in races two and three before falling back into second.
Ryan got off to the best possible start in the opening race as he got the hole shot to complete a Rudd clean-sweep. But he slipped back to finish sixth – a position he equalled in race two.
The 18-year-old improved to grab fifth in the finale, which made him a solid fifth overall.
