South Holland aces Mark Horspool, Claire Ball, Mark Taylor and Simon Hill were all on fine form for the Cambridgeshire county darts team in Cornwall over the weekend.
Making his debut, Spalding and District Darts League ace Taylor won his leg 4-1 on Saturday. He put in an excellent performance with an average of 22.17.
Horspool was also a 4-1 winner (21.62 average), while Hill prevailed 4-3 (average 25.29) in a brillant match.
Playing on the Sunday for the ladies’ A team, the brilliant Ball won 3-0 with an average of 31.98 – which is the highest average in the entire country for a lady player.
Overall, Cambridgeshire lost 19-17 – but Spalding and District Darts League chairman Ian Tilley declared the weekend a “massive success” for his players.
