Floral name for new suites

Pupils at the William Stukeley Primary School have been helping name new suites at Holbeach Meadows.

The children put forward their ten favourite flower names which were then put to the vote with residents.
Plaques were fixed to the doors ready for members of the school council to officially unveil them.
The children pulled back the curtains to reveal Rose and Cornwall.
The pupils then joined residents to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles.
Home manager Gemma Woodcock said: “The children were exceptionally well behaved and the residents thoroughly enjoyed their visit, their smiles said it all!
“It was truly heart warming to see the children talk to and help the residents with their crafts. Inter-generational therapy brings so many benefits to care home residents and is something I am committed to bringing to Holbeach Meadows busy social calendar.
“We donated a book voucher to the school as a thank-you for the help with the suite naming and are working with the school on plans for the children to bring their new books to the home, for a shared reading session with the residents.”
