Holbeach Budgens store is wanted by Lincolnshire Co-op

Lincolnshire Co-operative is hoping to buy Budgens’ store in Holbeach.

It has been confirmed that the food store chain is in discussion with Budgens about taking over the Fleet Street premises.
This is subject to approval by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

It is understood that, if the purchase is approved, the team at Budgens Holbeach would be transferred to Lincolnshire Co-op and plans would be drawn up for further investment in the store.

Lincolnshire Co-op has a supermarket in Long Sutton and a small store at a garage in Whaplode, which also houses the Post Office.
There are no plans for a similar situation to happen in the Holbeach store.
