Grant help for Warm Space

South Holland District Council has been awarded money from the Community Matters Fund to help recently-opened warm spaces.

The council is in the process of making a one-off £500 contribution to support signed-up warm spaces opening on a weekly basis.

For those that have signed-up but are open less than once a week, there is a separate grant available of £250.

The money, from the National Grid, can be applied for by voluntary groups, not-for-profit organisations, parish or town council, parochial church council and registered charities.

“We are delighted our teams have been able to secure this funding to allow us to help our community,” said Coun Gary Taylor, communities portfolio holder.
