A £250 donation from East Elloe Lions will help to keep the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance flying.
The Holbeach-based Lions invited Heather and Tom Chambers, who represent the air ambulance, to their meeting to hand over a cheque towards the helicopter’s running costs.
Tom and Heather introduced the Lions to Linda Helmn, who works with them, helping with publicity and accepting donations for the air ambulance charity.
Lions press officer David Enser said: “It’s an expensive vehicle to keep flying and the club felt that we should continue to support them.
“We’re now in the throes of getting ready for a busy period once December comes and we work hard in this area both raising funds but also making sure that in conjunction with our local health visitors, needy children get that little extra at Christmas.”
