Mighty Mick on-song

Cue ace Mick Cooper was on fine form as he helped Holbeach A pick up just their third win of the Spalding and District Billiards League season on Monday night.
Cooper, who plays off a whopping O190 handicap, bagged breaks of 55, 45 (unfinished), 42 and 34 as he beat Keiran Witham-Richards in the opening frame as Holbeach beat Consti B 5-2.
Team-mate Ben Harding (R40) lost his frame to Jason Rose (O20), despite making a 44 break, before Phil Coaten (R70) sealed the win for Holbeach.
Big winners on the night were Donington A, who whitewashed hosts Pyramid A 7-0 thanks to victories from Nigel Brasier (R70), Ben Wrigglesworth (R20) and Tony Scully (R40).
Also on-song were Holbeach B, who saw off hosts Consti A 5-2 to move second. Chris Chamberlain (R60) starred with a 31 break.
