Trophies galore for Tigers at Pinchbeck finals night

The Pinchbeck & District Summer Darts League completed another fine season with their finals at Spalding Services Club.

A busy evening of games started with the Ward Trophy final between the Green Dragon A and friendly foes Green Dragon B.
In a close encounter, a last game win by Al Ramsey over Stu Ewins gave the B team a 5-4 victory over their pub counterparts.
This was followed by the Singles semi-finals, with wins for Andy Bingham (Lincoln Arms A) and Ash Allen (Tigers Club) over Duggie McInerney (Tigers Club) and Dave Norbury (Riverside) respectively seeing them through to the final.
The Pairs semis saw wins for Ben Chester and Ady Smith (Riverside) and Bingham and Steve Stancer (Lincoln Arms A) over Ewins and Simon Horton (Green Dragon A) and Robbie Hall and Darren Norton (Green Dragon A).
Next up was the Knockout Cup final between the Tigers Club and Riverside. Having already won the league, the Tigers completed an impressive double by defeating Riverside 6-3.
The first individual final of the night was the Captain’s Cup final between McInerney (Tigers Club) and Stancer (Lincoln Arms A). It was McInerney who came through this battle to secure a 2-0 victory.
The Ladies’ Cup final saw another title for the Tigers Club as Casey Hill was victorious with a 2-0 win over Tracey Baldwin (Consti Z).
Impressively, Tigers were guaranteed another title in the Mixed Pairs as Simon Hill and Lisa Brooks took on team-mates Darren Royal and Claire Brookin.
It was close, but Hill and Brooks took the trophy with a 2-1 victory.
Then came the Pairs final, which was keenly contested but Bingham and Stancer (Lincoln Arms A) were just too strong on the night, beating Chester and Smith (Riverside) 2-0.
The Singles final between Bingham (Lincoln Arms A) and Allen (Tigers Club) saw a very tight match. In the end, Bingham managing to take the title with a 3-2 win.
The final game of the evening was the prestigious Mark Tansley Trophy.
This is contested between the Winter League Singles champion, McInerney, and the new Summer League champion, Bingham.
In another very close and high standard game, it was McInerney who won 3-2.
