Care home residents pay respects

Residents at Cedar Falls Care Home in Spalding paid homage to those who gave so much in times of war by decorating trees in the home’s grounds with homemade poppies.
It took residents several weeks to make giant poppy heads in readiness for Remembrance Day.
Sapphire Malcolm said: “Placing our homemade poppies on the trees at Cedar Falls felt symbolic and meant a lot to our residents. Many of them have served our country or spent their formative years during times of war; this was our tribute.”
Deputy manager Susan said: “Remembrance Day is important to our residents and team members; consequently we wanted to do something meaningful and remember them.”
Deputy manager Gemma Woodcock said: “The trees lining our driveway and lawn were adorned with poppies for all to enjoy, it was lovely that residents could see them from the windows of the home. Remembrance Day is a poignant occasion for our residents, and this was a beautiful tribute.”
