Resurgent Ben Wilson recorded five podium finishes for Gearlink Kawasaki at the Annual Sunflower Trophy meeting over the weekend.
The Bishopscourt based event in Ireland saw Wilson reunited with his old 600cc Supersport machine – and also acted as his final race of the season.
He qualified in third place to start his two Supersport races from a front row grid position and completed the first race in third place.
Later in the day he went out for the second race which was run over eight laps of the 1.415-mile course and this time he was dicing for the lead with teammate Glenn Irwin. The two Gearlink Kawasaki bikes pulled well clear of the pack and Ben completed the race just a fraction of a second behind Irwin for second.
Wilson then went on to contest the two Superbike Pro races on the bike he has ridden all year. He finished second behind Danny Buchan each time.
He then rode in the feature race, The Jas Finlay Sunflower Trophy event, which was run over ten laps.
He got the hole shot, but finished behind Danny Buchan in second place.
Wilson said: “We all had a great time at Bishopscourt. I have to thank Gearlink Kawasaki for the hard work put in this weekend.”
