It’s double delight for Tigers D at finals night

Tigers D completed an impressive league and cup double on the finals night of the Holbeach and District Darts League.
Held at Tigers Social Club, they added the Division One Knockout Cup crown to their top tier title to complete an impressive campaign.
The night began with the Division Two Knockout Cup final between league runners-up Tigers A and Sutton Bridge side Greyhound.
In a very tight tussle, it was Greyhound who emerged victorious 14-13 to leave Tigers trophyless despite their super season.
The Division One final was more one-sided, as Tigers D defeated Rose & Crown A 17-10 to wrap up their double.
There was better news for two Tigers A players in the Division Two Pairs final. That’s because Phil Horspool and Richard Brookes beat Luke Emmins and Graham Goddard (Greyhound B) 3-2 to take the title.
Another Tigers team was celebrating after the Division One Pairs final, too. That’s because Tigers B duo Dave Clarey and Dave Piccaver got the better of Rose & Crown A duo Mark Waters and Adam Brand 3-1.
That theme continued in the Captain’s Cup final as 16-year-old Tigers E ace Logan Goddard beat Rose & Crown’s Hank Watson 3-0.
The Ladies’ Cup final was won by Crown & Mitre’s Carol Godfrey, who saw off Tigers B talent Kirsty Sherriett 2-1.
In singles competition, Services B ace Richard Cooper beat Horspool (Tigers) in the Division Two final and Crown & Mitre’s Dave Godfrey saw off Waters (Rose & Crown) 3-1 to take the Division One prize.
