Snooker round-up: It’s tight at the top as leading duo both win in Spalding and District League

There’s nothing in it at the top of Division One of the Spalding and District Snooker League Division One with Consti E and Bourne SC A tied together on 18 points.

Consti E are sitting just ahead of Bourne with a perfect four out of four wins, while Bourne have lost one of their four matches played.

Consti continued their winning form on Thursday night, seeing off Bourne SC C 4-2.
Wins from Simon Law (O7), Nathan Wilson (O21) and Carl Rands (O14) sealed the deal.

Bourne SC A secured a 5-1 victory over Sutton Bridge with Pete Hodgson-Kerry (O28) missing out by four points to make it a clean sweep.

Pyramid C are holding up the table on just four points having yet to chalk up a win this season.

In Division Two, Services D lost their perfect record going down 4-2 to friendly foes Services B.

Victors for the B team were Jason Rose (O28), who racked up breaks of 33 and 38, Paul Doades (scr) and Tim Nash (O21), who pocketed a 34 break on his way to winning.

They sit in second place on 16 points, with Consti G at the summit just one point ahead.

A 5-1 win ensured Whittlesey C’s place at the top of the Division Three table.

In a match against club mates Whittlesey A, wins from Neil Burton (O14), Jason Bloomfield (O7) (25 break), Jodie Crowson (R28) and Paul Cook (O7) saw the team to victory.

Graeme Sawyer (014) was the only winner for the A team seeing off Simon Parker (O7) 56-46.

Consti J are sitting in second place, two points behind Whittlesey C after a 4-2 win over Consti A.

With only four players on the night Peter Orange (O21) was chosen to play twice and lost both of his frames.

Winners for the J team were Trevor Braybrook (R7), Nev Vickers (R7) and Les Andrew (R7).

Nic Savic (O49) and Nigel Steadman (scr) got the points for the A team.

Down at the bottom of the division Whittlesey B and Consti D are both still waiting to win a match, sitting on just five points each.

Consti D lost 4-2 to Gosberton B, compounding their miserable start to the season.

Winners on the night were father and son Ray (R21) and Tom Digby (scr).

Bringing home the win for Gosberton were Nigel Goodwin (R14), Simon Slinger (R14) and Stuart Ruskin (R7).
