Taco Bell has set an opening date for its new drive-thru restaurant alongside KFC.
The restaurant that specialises in Mexican food has put on Facebook that the restaurant at the Lincolnshire Gateway Business Park will open on Friday July 29.
A statement says: “Taco Bell Spalding: INCOMING
“Get ready for the big day on 29.07.22.”
It could also be giving away free Tacos to the first 100 people
A separate Facebook post which has since been deleted, said: “What’s that smell? Smells like tacos… FREE tacos…
“To celebrate the opening of our store in Spalding, follow that smell down to the Gateway Business Park, 1 Goodison Road on 29.07.22 for a free taco! Hurry, it’s for the first 100 customers only.”
There’s currently no Taco Bell signage up at the restaurant where construction works is still continuing, but KFC signs have been up for several weeks.
A KFC Spokesperson said: “We know the people of Spalding have been eagerly awaiting our shiny new coop, and we can’t wait to show them either. We’ll be serving our delicious fried chicken later this summer. Watch this space!”
KFC has applied for a late night licence so it could open to 3am if it wishes.
The Taco Bell opening comes almost a year after planning permission for both restaurants was granted with plans having been submitted in February 2021.
