And you can keep the Christmas cheer going almost into the new year, as the offer continues until December 31.

And if you are feeling particularly hungry, the Pied Calf is also offering a three courses for the price of two offer throughout November.

The menu is a mix of traditional Christmas favourites, such as turkey with all the trimmings, as well as other options, including vegetarian.

And if you really don’t feel like slaving over a hot stove and would rather put your feet up and let someone else take the strain of preparing the sprouts and stuffing the turkey, the Pied Calf is also open on Christmas Day.

Booking is essential, but you can pick your time (subject to availability).

What is on offer is a four-course meal for £37.95, with a children’s option for just £18.95.

The pub will be open on Boxing Day, offering its usual menu.
