Robert Stott was the emphatic overall winner of Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s Spring Open event.
A healthy 140 golfers took part in an individual stableford event, which was played amid excellent weather and with the course in fantastic condition.
Stott’s score of 44 points was three better than Johnathan Housley-Stott (41pts) in second, with Lewis Lee (38pts) claiming third.
One of the highlights of the day saw Dan Brooks nail a hole-in-one.
Gino Ciuffini thanked all for taking part and gave a special thanks to the greens staff for the excellent condition of the course, as well as helper Trevor Sewell and the restaurant and bar staff.

Ladies’ section: Some 44 of Spalding Golf Club’s ladies took part in the May Medal, sponsored by Baytree Nurseries.
There were some excellent scores recorded, led by Jane Blom with 69, who won on count back from Shirley Gurbutt.
Third place was taken by Roz Barnett with 70 and Barbara Newcombe was fourth with 71.
Nigel Wallis, from Baytree, presented the winners with their prizes on the day.
