Artist Pauline wows society

Ahead of their next exhibition at Spalding Library, members of Spalding Arts and Crafts Society were treated to a demonstration by artist and illustrator Pauline Hazelwood.

Pauline writes and illustrates true stories about narrow gauge railway engines.

A spokesman for the society said: “Pauline was excellent.

“She created this crowd watching scene purely from imagination, explaining that her next stage before publication would be to tweak it in Photoshop.

“A couple of days after the meeting she emailed us a copy of the more polished version.

“This can be seen on our Facebook page.”

The society’s next meeting will be an Acrylic and Pastel demonstration by Peter Wood on Tuesday, April 5 at Pinchbeck Village Hall on Knight Street, PE11 3RB.

It will take place from 7.30pm to 9.30pm with tickets costing members £3 and visitors £5. Doors open at 7pm.

The group’s next exhibition in at Spalding Library from April 25 to May 26.
