Simmonds takes advantage of popular peg 35 to seal win at Tydd Gote Angling Club

Once again it was red-hot peg 35 that took the honours in the latest Tydd Gote Angling Club’s Sunday Club match on the North Level at Main Road where Oli Simmonds led the way.

But it wasn’t the usual bream that were willing to feed, but quality roach as Simmonds put 4lb 14oz of lovely redfins in his net, fishing pinkie over groundbait to scoop the top prize.

Sammy McSpadden, on golden peg 25, took the runners-up spot with 3lb 7oz of smaller silvers to similar tactics, with Dennis Houghton, on peg 23, third with just 11oz.
