Three injured in A17 collision

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called after three people were injured in a road traffic collision on the A17 yesterday (Monday, August 30).

The incident occurred shortly before 3.30pm and involved a red Nissan Micra and a black Wrangler Jeep. 

Three people were taken to Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Kings Lynn with injuries that police said are not thought to be serious. 

The road was closed while emergency services attended including fire crews from Spalding, Long Sutton and Bourne.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said: “Crews made one car safe by disconnecting the battery, used Stabfast equipment to stabilise another car and administered oxygen to one male.”
