LETTERS – Who is my local councillor?

Your letters page contains many problems affecting the local community and the town in general. Most are directed to the local council.

Indeed, the theme on the letters page does not put the council in a very good light.

More and more these letters are directed at the responsibilities of our local council representatives and the departments identified.

One would expect our councillors getting out and getting involved, for the town as a whole, perhaps following up on what the public have given as examples.

The letter on the pumping station provided evidence from someone who worked the system, will he be approached by his councillor? I doubt it very much, but then again how many have we heard following up these problems?

I suppose I should ask my councillor about his/her views, now who is he/she?
