Great turnout at Spalding Golf Club’s Lady Captain’s Day

Some 47 ladies playing in teams of four took to the fairways at Spalding Golf Club to compete in their Lady Captain’s Day.

The teams were sent on their way by club captain Andy Rafferty, who under took his responsibilities as starter very professionally, while resident photographer for the day Brendan D’Abreo captured teams throughout the day and at prize givings.

The players were entertained at the halfway house by Keith Holland and Steve Leggett who managed the refreshments to keep the ladies on track.

The winners with 115 points playing off white, yellow and red tees in sequence were Jenny van Gemeren, Michelle Bailey, Nicky Weller and Tracy Siddle.

In second place, with 106, were Wendy Revill, Mags Filby, Bethany Gough and Amanda Camm. Behind them, third place went to Jane Blom, Kay Green, Ros Barnett and Sally West, with fourth going to Helena Steward, Gill Dewhurst, Lizzie Cooke and Jean Wilkinson.

A meal served up by chef Neil and his team completed the day.
