Tractor driver in court over charges of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving

A tractor driver has been sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court following a traffic incident in which a woman was killed and a man seriously injured.

William Flynn, 40, now living in Carrick on Suir in Co Waterford in the Republic of Ireland but who was living at Whaplode, Spalding at the time of the incident on January 21 last year, entered no pleas to the two charges.

He appeared in court via video link.

The charges are of causing death by dangerous driving of Karen Ann Fenton and serious injury by
dangerous driving to Paul John Fenton on the A16 at Sutterton while driving a Massey Ferguson tractor.

A plea and directions hearing will be held at Lincoln Crown Court on July 27 and Mr Flynn was granted
unconditional bail.
