Water rescue team among those to attend two vehicle collision in Whaplode St Catherine

A vehicle had to be pulled from the water after a road traffic collision near Whaplode St Catherine last night (Wednesday, June 2).

Two vehicles were involved in the incident which occurred around 6.30pm on Ravens Bank.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews from Spalding, Holbeach and Crowland attended, releasing the driver from one car while a water rescue searched the second, but “the driver had self-released”, a spokesman said.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “

“We received a call at 6.35pm on June 2, reporting a two-vehicle collision on Ravens Bank, Whaplode St Catherines.

“Two cars were involved – a Ford, and a Vauxhall Astra.

“The Astra ended up in a ditch, while the Ford landed on its roof.

“Minor injuries were reported.”
