Pinchbeck primary winter wonderland

VNG030414-18

Winter returned for a brief spell as a primary school was turned into a wonderland as an end-of-term treat for children.
Leisure Skate, based in Weston Hills, set up a synthetic ice rink at Pinchbeck East Primary School where children were able to have a go at skating and curling.
Classes took it in turns over two days, using special penguin shaped props to help them stay on their feet on the slippery surface.
The overall effect was completed with sprays of snow.
The youngsters were also able to try their hand at curling, which is growing in popularity after Britain’s success at the winter Olympics earlier this year.
Head of school Teeny Vayro said: “All children (and staff!) had a great time.
“It was an exciting and fun way to end a fabulous term and we thank the company for the opportunity they provided for our children.”
