Ready to build for the future

The future is bright for Long Sutton family firm RK Wilson Builders as it looks to expand its already impressive portfolio.

The firm has been taken over by founder Rodney Wilson’s son Dean and Robert Spenceley.

They’re looking to build on the first 54 years of the company and expand it even further.

“It’s a really exciting time,” said Robert. “We’re still going to be a very much a family business every step of the way, but a bigger one.

“We’ve some exciting plans including looking at creating more bespoke homes going forward.”

Robert’s company D&R Homes has been working closely with RK Wilson for a number of years.

He became a shareholder in the company four years ago and will now oversee the company alongside Dean.

“I’ve worked with them for a number of years and I think the first project was on the old tax office in Spalding.

“In the last few years we have built around 120 homes and we are currently developing in Tydd and Moulton.

“We are also working towards delivering another 105 homes in Gosberton and Long Sutton over the next four years.

“We’re going to continue to grow as a family business providing high quality homes.”
