Shop was back before panel

A shop which has been before licencing panel several times over the past few months has been denied a transfer of its licence following police opposition.

Milenia Kudracova has been told she can not transfer the premises licence for Delicja in Westlode Street at a meeting of South Holland District Council’s Licencing Committee held online today (Tuesday).

In April, Mrs Kudracova had her application for the premises licence turned down.

The licence had previously been revoked after police discovered an illegal worker at the store and multiple breaches of the licence conditions.

Today’s meeting was held behind closed doors with all of the evidence also not being disclosed to the public due to it being part of a police investigation.

The decision notice released by Charnwood Borough Council states: “The panel considered an application to transfer a premises licence and an application to vary a premises licence to specify an individual as designated premises supervisor under the Licensing Act 2003 at Delicja, Unit 2, 20 Westlode Street, Spalding, Lincs, PE11 2AF

“The panel considered the written and verbal evidence presented by all parties, in arriving at this determination.

“The panel rejects each application considering it appropriate for the Crime Prevention Objective to do so.

“Any appeal must be commenced by notice of appeal given by the appellant to the Magistrates Court within 21 days beginning with the day on which the appellant was notified by the Licensing Authority of the decision appealed against.”
