I have formed a new society called “Spalding Gardeners” which aims to bring together local people to help each other with things like digging and general maintenance and to exchange ideas and exchange plants, seeds etc.
I would particularly like for members to help young people grow their own vegetables and give them advice and a helping hand, as well as lend them tools or donate them where possible – especially people living on the town’s council estates.
Although due to coronavirus garden centres are closed you can still order online. This includes Baytree Garden Centre, who are very good.
