In-form Spalding United come up against another promotion rival on Saturday (December 5, 3pm).
Fifth-placed Market Drayton Town arrive at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field hoping to leapfrog the Tulips in the Evo-Stik First Division South play-off places.
But they will find a team high in confidence and nursing an unbeaten league run of four wins and a draw.
The Shropshire side are useful on the road and know where the goal is. A 3-1 win at Daventry Town and a 3-2 success at Gresley Rovers last Saturday, sandwich a 4-1 home loss to Basford United.
Tulips manager Marcus Ebdon hopes that no midweek match will prove beneficial for his side after noting energy levels in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Rugby Town were not the norm.
“I think that was after all the effort they had put in on Tuesday [1-0 win over second-placed Coalville Town],” he said.
Winger Mitchell Griffiths is the only selection concern after being substituted with a tight hamstring last Saturday.
“He will be a big loss if he can’t make it because he’s been in superb form,” said Ebdon.
The boss is happy with the squad’s form but is looking at bringing in a couple of fresh players ahead of the forthcoming festive fixtures.
