29 fingers on the pulse for hospital

One of the UK’s ‘best party bands’ is coming to Spalding to help raise money for the town’s Tulip Hospice.

Rocktober is back having raised around £60,000 in its six previous concerts.

The event is organised by Emma Peake, who runs Daisy’s flower shop in The Crescent, as a thank-you to the Johnson Hospital ward’s care of her mum Kate.

This year she’s persuaded 29 Fingers to attend the South Holland Centre on Friday October 24.

Tatler Magazine called them ‘the UK’s best party band’.

“They’re a brilliant band,” said Emma. “They’ll start off with some 80s and 90s music but they’ll play a host of well known songs. Tickets are £25 which includes a glass of pink fizz on arrival.

All proceeds will go to The Development Foundation at The Tulip Suite which provides end of life care.

“They were absolutely brilliant.” said Emma. ” From personal experience, I know how important it is to have them in town.”

A spokesman for the South Holland Centre said: “With some very hot musicians and an over active sense of fun 29 Fingers have learnt how to fill a dancefloor and make a party ignite in a flash.”

Tickets are £25 and available from www.southhollandcentre.co.uk
