£250 thank you to air ambulance

Pinchbeck Carnival Committee has handed over £250 to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance in memory of one of the event’s long-time supporters.

The money was presented to Jane Stacey, representing the charity, by committee member Kate Watkins on behalf of the family of Harry Camps, who had been involved in the village carnival for many years.

Committee chairman Chris Schofield said a further £175 had been donated to local charities and organisations which had helped make the 2014 carnival a success.

Plans are now underway for this year’s carnival on June 12, 13 and 14, which enables village groups to promote themselves while having fun. The theme this year is Best of British.
