22 winners in colouring competition which ‘amazed’ Springfields

The 22 winners in Springfields’ hugely popular Easter egg colouring competition have been announced.

More than 3,000 children who took part in an egg hunt around the gardens were given the opportunity to enter the colouring competition, judged by staff at Thorntons.

The overall winner was Beth McLaren (8), who gets a tour for four of Thorntons’ chocolate factory in Derbyshire. Runner-up was Tamzin Naish (11), who got a giant Thorntons egg.

Both winners also received a £10 gift card for Springfields along with the other top 20 finalists – Lewis Wright, Abby Nicholls, Freddy Ford, Rachel Moore, Noah Ford, Grace Booth, Riley Dawson, Eleanor Perkins, Freya Spriggs, Oscar Watson, Daisy Darley, Safiyah Rashid, Alfie Wood, Tammy Franks, Jessica Mortimer, Katie Wright, Grace Lavender and Izzy Lurkey-Milner.

A Springfields spokesperson said: “Out of the 3,000 kids who did our Easter egg hunt nearly 800 children entered into our colouring competition. Not only were we amazed by the number of entrants but also the quality of the creativity of these kids.
“A big thank you again to everyone who took part.

“We will be running further competitions throughout the year at Springfields so remember to follow us online to keep up today with all our developments.”
