21 goals in five games for Pinchbeck’s Ford

Goal machine Josh Ford made it 21 goals in just five Spalding and District Sunday League games with a double hat-trick at the weekend.

Ford helped himself to six of Pinchbeck United Sunday’s 13 goals as the leaders crushed hosts Spalding Seas End Wanderers 13-2.

Ryan Wheeler also grabbed a hat-trick for Tom Roberts’ side, while Gary Piper, Andy Law, Jonny Clay and Simon Clare also notched.

Nick Farmer and Reece Parker did at last grab consolation goals for the walloped Wanderers.

The other league game of the day saw second-placed Swineshead Institute Sunday see off Punchbowl Panthers 4-1. That leaves it as you were at the top, with Pinchbeck three points clear with a game in hand.

In the John Chappell Shield, Matthew Eaton’s hat-trick helped Sutton Bridge Sunday ease to an emphatic aggregate success over Punchbowl Tigers.

They won the second leg 6-0 at Monkshouse Playing Field, with Rob Hook, Jack Murley and Joseph Sutton the other scorers.

Brennans Sports also progress to the next round after drawing 0-0 with Jubilee. They won the first leg 2-0.
