Galleries open to put art on the map

glassProfessional artists and crafts people across South Holland will open their studios to the public for the annual Lincolnshire Art on the Map event.

Lincolnshire is subdivided into five cluster groups West Lindsey, Wolds and Coast, Lincoln, the Vales and (our South Holland area), The Fens.

Artists and makers invite members of the public to use a specially created directory and travel around the county to visit their studios.

Throughout the Fens area there are ten studios to visit, in Boston, Gosberton, Spalding, Moulton and Tydd Gote.

There will be a variety of work to see including painting, printmaking, felt making, stained glass, ceramics and textiles.

Some are open all week while others are open just at weekends.

Opening times are between 10am and 4pm for most studios and admission is free.

  • Lyn Jenkins, Boston, felt making
  • Lind Anso, Boston, painting
  • Joan Dowling, Gosberton, painting
