Earlier this season Spalding’s 1923 had travelled over to Stamford and suffered a bruising defeat but on Saturday they turned the tables and walked away with a very satisfying win.

Captain on the day Ash Anker led by example from the back row with a hat trick of tries, young prop Thomas Stevenson stood out with a try, whilst the backs ran in three tries, Tom Parker-McGee, Conall Mason and Ben Bettinson with four conversions by Mason.
