13 proves very lucky for Spalding United Reserves

For the second time in three weeks Spalding United Reserves hit double figures in ChromaSport Peterborough League Division Two as their relentless assault on the Guyhirn goal resulted in a 13-0 win on Saturday.

The most impressive part of the display from the league leaders was how they didn’t let their tempo drop, as their passing and movement ripped the home side open time and time again – and in truth it could have been more.

Tricky winger Tom Coaten opened the scoring, before the ever impressive Jake Farrell bagged a hat-trick in yet another mouth-watering display. Edgaras Buzas then scored his 15th and 16th goal of the campaign, while there were also braces also from Jack Wycherley and Luke Harrison and man-of-the-match Dave Endersbee grabbed himself a rare goal.

Guyhirn also turned one into their own net, but the pick of the bunch was saved until last when Jason Haytree scored a stunning volley from an acute angle from outside the area.
