Spalding Round Table has presented £1,000 to Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

The cash came from some of the funds raised by the Round Table’s annual charity boxing event held at Springfields Events Centre.

Ways and means officer Jason Parnell said the air ambulance was selected as a worthy cause due to the frequency of support it provides to Spalding, particularly the farming community.

He added: “It’s a charity that relies on donations to keep it flying and Spalding Round Table is happy to support the air ambulance’s excellent operations. Members voted unaminously for it.”
