On the mark to help community

Donations of personal protection equipment (PPE) to schools in Long Sutton and Spalding are among the initiatives led by Ella’s Project in the last week.

The group led by Mark Le Sage is involved in a host of initiatives to help the community during the current COVID-19 outbreak.

It’s arranging, producing and distributing PPE which it did to Long Sutton Primary School and The Priory School this week.

The group’s associated volunteers are also providing scrubs for a host of care workers.

Mark Le Sage said: “Ella’s Project had another busy week delivering essential items to our NHS and keyworkers that have all been donated by the local community.

“From face visors to schools to hand cream for the fire service, none of it would be possible without the support of the South Holland community.

“We also had a delivery of cloth from Paul Smith in Nottingham and Noah Evans which will be turned into scrubs by our wonderful local sewing team organised by Victoria Gray and Diane Virden.

“Thanks also to Luke Atkin and Keris Moore for making the face visors and Simon Lord and Louise Neal for supplying the hand creams.”
