Something for all at flower show

There’s a blooming incredible free attraction at Springfields this weekend.

The annual Spring and Flower Show is in full bloom in the 15 acres of mature garden at the Spalding shopping centre.
It’s time for Springfields annual daffodil competition.
Last September 793 people were given five bulbs and asked to come back for the competition with their displays.
Johnny Walker, winner of 23 consecutive gold medals at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, has been passing on his tips and is looking forward to seeing what people have created.
As well as floral displays there will be talks by Ben Cross speaking about his passion for British grown flowers and Charlotte Daubney on daffodil varieties.
There will also be attractions for younger people to get involved with including growing, art and wildlife workshops.
There will also be a chance to make your own Lego flowers.
A spokesman for Springfields said: “There will be so much for all the family including a host of different workshops and our Forest School and bird hide will all be open with experts on hand.
“Despite flooding in part of the gardens, we are showing a beautiful display of daffodils, hyacinths, early tulips and of course the yellow daffodils.”
The Spring and Flower Show is open Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14 from 10am to 4.30pm on both days.
lAs part of the Spring and Flower Show, Spalding Arts and Crafts Society will also be holding an exhibition of work.
A spokesman said: “All the artwork will be for sale and we will be holding a raffle to win a Mo Teeuw watercolour of Cottage near Ringstead, Norfolk.”
