Plenty of twists and turns in top division

The Peterborough and District League Premier Division continues to be fascinating at both ends of the table.

Six teams remain in contention for the title with Moulton Harrox in second.
Goals from Declan Earth and Marcus Parry gave them a battling 2-0 win at Stamford Belvedere on Saturday.
But they were frustrated by Holbeach United Reserves on Tuesday night who held them to a 2-2 draw to move the Tigers off the bottom of the table.
They’re one of four teams separated by just one point at the bottom.
The Tigers lost 3-1 to league leaders Uppingham Town on Saturday with Warren Hebblethwaite scoring for them.
Uppingham are six clear at the top of the chasing pack, but have played at least four more games than the other title chasers which still includes sixth placed Crowland Town.
They won 3-0 at home to Sawtry on Saturday via Billy Gibbs, Mathew Smith and Joe Cole goals.
Tydd are now bottom of the table, but they’ve games in hands on those above them and drew 2-2 at Wittering Premiair, Kelton Stringer and Charlie Minchella scoring.

Peterborough and District League Premier Division table
In Division One, goals from Jack Thomas and James Ward gave Long Sutton Athletic a 2-0 win at Netherton United Reserves, while Holbeach United Sports lost 4-2 at FC Peterborough Reserves.
A 100th-minute goal from William Knight earned Whaplode Drove Rovers a 1-0 win that kept their hopes of winning Division Two alive and cemented their current second place in the league.
At the bottom, Tydd Reserves moved within three points of third from bottom Crowland Town Reserves after a 2-2 home draw with Stamford Belvedere Reserves.
Crowland lost 5-3 at Whittlesey Athletic Development despite goals from Klyden Lleshi, Kai Bucknell and Adam Samworth.
In Division Three, Long Sutton Athletic Reserves were thrashed 7-1 by title challengers YDP, Toby Baggaley with the Sutton consolation.
Division Four saw South Lincolnshire Swifts score seven, Will Smith, Alfie Tointon, Keane Slayven netting once and Dawid Gos and Nicky Haw twice in a 7-2 win over Deeping United Development.
In the Sunday League, South Holland United lost 5-2 at Thorpe Wood Rangers Blue, Ewan McCracken and Emilio Mead scoring for the Holbeach Bank-based side.

l The final of the Spalding Inter Services Cup Final takes place on Saturday, April 13.
Holbeach United Sports take on South Lincolnshire Swifts in a 6.45pm kick off at Carter’s Park in Holbeach.
Admission is £4 for adults, £2 for concessions and £1 for children.
